Who We are?

Egyptian Phythopathological Society

The idea of establishing the Egyptian Society of Plant Pathology originated at the Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University, spearheaded by the late Dr. Abbas Fathi El-Hilali, Professor of Plant Pathology, alongside his colleagues from the Faculties of Agriculture at Cairo University and Ain Shams University, as well as research centers and the Ministry of Agriculture.

The establishment began in early 1966 with the formation of the founding assembly, which drafted the Society’s bylaws, officially registered it, and approved its activities in the United Arab Republic.
